From this new point of view, all phases of construction and use have to be analyzed, adapted or newly developed: from the idea to the design, planning, calculation, construction, material acquisition, manufacture, transport, construction on site, the operation, the preservation, the data storage, the upgrading up to the re- and further use and recycling.
The specialist areas required for this go far beyond the subjects traditionally found in construction: in addition to architects and civil engineers, specialists from the following disciplines are required: process engineering, materials science, biology, chemistry, computer science, mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, microelectronics, robotics, logistics, Sustainability research, history, data analysts, sociology, law and political science.
